As well as Manchester Skeptics in the Pub, there are plenty of other things going on that are of interest to our kinds of people:

Manchester PubhD invites academics to explain their research to a pub of strangers in ten minutes, with another twenty for questions.

Bright Club Manchester is a comedy club whose acts are researchers drawing laughs from their work.

MathsJam is a monthly pub night and annual conference for recreational mathematics. It's fun. Honestly.

Didsbury SciBar is a similar format to a Skeptics speaker event, but with a scientific bent rather than a skeptical one, and with a far blurrier line between talk and Q&A.

Greater Manchester Humanists are concerned with values and moral issues from a non-religious standpoint.

Pint of Science is a collection of science talks and activities in pubs around the UK that runs for a few days a year.
